Moving

1What types of moving services do you offer?
Déménagements Faber handles private and business moves at a local, national, and European level.
Whether it’s a home relocation, an office move, or a complete site transfer, we plan and carry out each project carefully, individually, and tailored to your needs.
2When should I book my move?
We recommend booking your move 4 to 6 weeks in advance.
This gives us enough time to schedule the ideal date and reserve the necessary vehicles and staff.
Last-minute moves are also possible, depending on our availability.
3How does a business move work?
After a personalized assessment of your needs, we create a detailed schedule.
We take care of dismantling, transport, and reassembly of office furniture, the secure transfer of IT equipment and archives, and all related logistics.
Our goal is to minimize downtime, so your business can be up and running again as quickly as possible.
4Can I book only certain services (e.g., transport)?
Yes. We offer both complete moving packages and partial services, such as transport only, packing, or just the moving lift with operator.
You decide which services you need - flexible and made to fit your situation.
5Do you handle international moves?
Yes, Déménagements Faber regularly carries out international moves across Europe.
We take care of customs formalities, organisation, and safe transport, for both private clients and companies.
Please note that for international moves, at least one of the addresses must be located in Luxembourg.Nous nous occupons des formalités douanières, de l’organisation et du transport sécurisé, aussi bien pour les particuliers que pour les entreprises.
Pour tout déménagement international, au moins l’une des adresses doit se situer au Luxembourg.
6Do you offer a packing service?
On request, our team provides professional packing for your furniture, personal items, and fragile belongings.
To ensure everything arrives safely, we use high-quality packing materials, such as boxes, bubble wrap, and protective covers.
7Can you help with dismantling and reassembling furniture?
Yes. You can leave the dismantling, transport, and reassembly of your furniture entirely to us.
Our team can also handle wall and ceiling installations, such as TVs, lighting, or wall-mounted cabinets.

Storage

1How does the furniture storage service work?
You can entrust us with your furniture and personal belongings, such as boxes or various items.
On request, we pack your goods, carefully dismantle the furniture, transport everything to our secure storage facilities, and store it under optimal conditions.
When you’re ready for delivery, we reassemble your furniture and set it up at your chosen location.
2How long can I store my furniture?
Our service is completely flexible
You can store your furniture for a few days, weeks, months, or even several years, depending on your needs and situation.
3What types of containers are available for storage?
We offer two types of containers, depending on volume and requirements:
  • Steel containers with a capacity of up to 45 m³, ideal for large volumes or complete household storage.
  • Wooden containers for smaller volumes, up to 7.5 m³.
All our containers are kept in heated and continuously monitored facilities.
4What items cannot be stored?
Sensitive or hazardous items are not accepted, including flammable products, animals, plants, or perishable goods.
5Can I access my belongings during the storage period?
Yes, access is possible by appointment.
Depending on the size and type of container, handling fees may apply.
6Is my furniture insured during storage?
Yes, your furniture is insured against common risks for the entire duration of the storage period.

Recycling

1What recycling and disposal services do you offer?
Déménagements Faber provides professional disposal services for old or damaged furniture, electrical appliances, and other items you no longer need.
On request, we can also clear out entire basements, attics, or storage areas.
2Is recycling included in the moving service?
Recycling is not automatically included in the moving service and is billed separately.
The price depends on the workload and the weight of the waste, calculated per ton.
We’re happy to provide a personalized quote, either as part of your move or as a standalone service.
3How does the recycling process work, and where are the materials taken?
All items are delivered to certified recycling centers that are authorized for professional waste treatment.
In accordance with our legal obligations, we maintain an annual waste register and are therefore not permitted to dispose of waste at public recycling facilities.
4Do you also offer secure document or archive destruction?
Yes, on request, we provide secure destruction of your archives and confidential documents.

1How can I get a quote for my move or storage?
You can easily request your personalized quote through our online form, by phone, or by email.
After receiving your information, or following an on-site visit, we’ll provide a free, no-obligation quote, fully tailored to your needs.
2What information is needed for a cost estimate?
For an accurate estimate, we need a few essential details:
the pick-up and delivery addresses, floor levels, access conditions (elevator, moving lift, etc.), and the level of service required (packing, assembly, storage, etc.).
We can also visit your location or make an estimate based on photos.
3Do you provide packing materials for the move?
Yes, we offer high-quality packing materials for all needs:
sturdy boxes (53 × 33 × 35 cm), adhesive tape, bubble wrap, tissue paper for dishes, bottle boxes, and wardrobe boxes (1.5 m × 50 cm × 50 cm).
This ensures your belongings are perfectly protected during transport.
4Can I buy or rent the packing materials?
You have the choice: our moving boxes can be purchased or rented.
If you return the rented boxes, you’ll receive a 50% discount on the rental price - a flexible and eco-friendly solution.
5Are the prices in the quote fixed?
In general, the final price may vary by ±10%, depending on the actual workload or any changes in conditions.
Any services not mentioned in the initial quote (e.g., packing materials, unplanned transports, additional volume or furniture) will be charged separately.Toute prestation non mentionnée dans le devis initial (emballages, transports imprévus, volumes ou meubles supplémentaires, etc.) sera facturée en supplément.
6Do I need to be present on moving day?
Yes, it’s recommended to be present during loading and unloading, or to be represented by an authorized person.
This ensures that all furniture and items are handled properly, that any visible damage can be reported immediately, and that instructions are given directly on-site.
7What happens if I need to postpone or cancel my move?
Please inform us as early as possible so we can reschedule your move.
A change or cancellation is generally free of charge up to 21 days before the agreed date.
8What are your cancellation conditions?
If you cancel less than 21 days before the scheduled date, a 25% cancellation fee of the agreed amount applies.
In case of cancellation or postponement less than 72 hours before work begins, a 50% fee of the agreed price will be charged.
9Who takes care of the parking permit for the truck or moving lift?
We handle it for you.
Déménagements Faber takes care of the necessary parking and work permits with the local authorities, both for the truck space and the use of the moving lift.
This ensures your move runs smoothly and without administrative hassle.
10What languages does your team speak?
Our team is multilingual and can assist you in French, German, English, and Luxembourgish.
11Does your team work on weekends?
On weekends, our team takes a well-deserved break and enjoys some family time.
